Political thugs suspected to be supporters of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebute and Oja Odan axis of Yewa North Local Government of Ogun State has intensified destruction of campaign billboards and posters of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Assembly Candidate in the area, Prince Adeyanju Bamidele.
The supporters said to have been allegedly led by one Yakubu Ologun and his team took to their heels upon sitting a passersby who saw them while carrying out their dastard act.
According to the eyeswtiness who pleaded anonymity described them as supporters of the Ogun Assembly Member; Honourable Haruna Egungbohun who is also seeking for a second term under the ruling party; APC.
While speaking with the Media Officer for ADEBAM 2023, Kehinde Abiodun noted that election in that area has never been do or die affairs because they knew themselves and relates like brothers and sisters.
He further stressed that his master; Prince Adeyanju Bamidele who is vying for the post of a Member, State House of Assembly is a peace loving and complete gentleman who is also known and loved by the people of Yewa North State Constituency II otherwise known as Ketu.
Mr Abiodun, therefore, call on the Police and other security agencies in the state to call the sponsor(s) of the thugs to order, adding that such attacks and destruction of campaign billboards and posters is a threat to 2023 general election if it is not quickly nipped on the bud.
