The Executive Chairperson of Moro Local Government and Yeyemeso of Shao Kingdom, Alhaja (Chief) Mrs. Mariam Abdulwasiu Omotayo, has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, over the ongoing 130km Bode-Saadu-Kaima-Kosubosu Road project.
The Chairperson made this remark during the inspection visit of the Honourable Minister of Works, Engineer David Nweze Umahi, to the project site. In her welcome address to the Minister, Alhaja Mariam Abdulwasiu Omotayo appreciated the President and extended a warm welcome to the Honourable Minister on behalf of the people of Moro Local Government.
“Today, my people are out in their hundreds to welcome you and to thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this laudable project. This road will have a significant impact on the economy of my local government, Kwara North, and Kwara State at large. We sincerely appreciate Mr. President and your office for ensuring that the Bode-Saadu-Kaima-Kosubosu Road is constructed for the benefit of our people,” she said.
Alhaja Mariam Abdulwasiu Omotayo also commended the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, describing him as the architect of the new Kwara. She assured the Minister that comes 2027, the people of Kwara State, under Governor AbdulRazaq’s leadership, would once again deliver 100 percent votes to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, just as they did in 2023.
The Honourable Minister, who was accompanied by the Honourable Commissioner for Works, Engineer AbdulQuawiy Olododo, lauded the massive turnout of the people who came to welcome him. He also commended the Chairperson for her proactiveness and the warm hospitality displayed by the people of Moro Local Government.
The work Minister further urged the people of Kwara State to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections, to enable them to enjoy more developmental projects and interventions under the Asiwaju-led administration. He also charged the people to make judicious use of the road, assuring them that it has a lifespan of up to 100 years.
Dignitaries present at the inspection visit included the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development; the ALGON Chairman; the two members representing Moro Local Government in the Kwara State House of Assembly; the Senior Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation; the Special Assistant on Humanitarian Affairs; the Chairman, Lower Niger River Basin; Commissioner II, Local Government Service Commission; members of the Moro Legislative Council; party executive members; traditional rulers; and other stakeholders in the community.
