On behalf of the Poser development team, testing team, support team, content team, and the entire Bondware/Renderosity staff, we are pleased to announce the first public release of Poser 13 for Windows. As with Poser 12, we expect to release some minor updates to this version over time as significant new features become available.

We think this is actually the best Poser release in years. To achieve this, we’ve put together a small team with many of the key players who have helped build Poser over the years. The team included Larry Weinberg, who built the first version of Poser in 1995. We added expertise in areas such as GPU rendering and Post FX. The works started at the beginning of 2022 and have continued without interruption until today.

The main goal of this release was to simplify content creation for Poser by supporting one-eyed characters that stay in memory and are not internally split by the software (aka unimesh). We’re still working towards that goal, but with this release we’re proud to announce that updated tools have been delivered to developers that greatly simplify common tasks like creating outfits for a Poser character. This focus on tools to simplify content creation will be an ongoing theme in Poser’s future development.

Your purchase of Poser helps cover our development costs, has professional customer support, and includes over 25GB of curated content. Although you can purchase premium content for Poser on marketplaces such as and , this is optional and many subscribers only use Poser with the included downloadable content. As usual with every version of Poser, we offer a 21-day free trial to make sure the software meets your needs before you buy.

We’re excited to announce that we have an exciting new character in the works for Poser 13, coming soon with accelerated shipping thanks to new content creation tools. Check the PoserSoftware newsletter in the coming weeks for related announcements.

We expect the Mac version to follow the Windows release in a few weeks as a free upgrade for Poser 13 licensees. The Mac version is a significant milestone for Poser as it includes the SuperFly rendering engine with Metal GPU support for the first time and runs on M1/M2 processors with Rosetta emulation.

Updated SuperFly rendering engine using the latest Cycle open source engine. GPU rendering of complex scenes takes less than half the time it takes to render the same scenes on Poser 12.

New Post FX options for rendered images including: noise, exposure, saturation, gamma, brightness, contrast, bloom, blur and pixelation.

Updated animation rendering system improves productivity when rendering movie sequences.

GPU rendering on remote nodes using Queue Manager allows you to create space-efficient rendering on your local network

New app launcher with recent and launch scene templates

Updated Walk Designer and Talk Designer to improve compatibility with all image types and support for imported libraries.

Improved adaptive sampling for faster rendering.

Enhanced Intel Open Image Denoise (OIDN), whichuses artificial intelligence to denoise SuperFly renders.

HDRI environment rendering for SuperFly.

Improved shadow catcher that includes an HDRI environment enables a realistic 360-degree VR-like environment on Poser

Improved shape and weight Map copying system makes it easier to create clothes.

A simplified installer, less than 1/4 the size of the previous version.

Content delivery is enhanced with the Poser content library. One-click installation from included and repositories. Over 25GB of updated and reimagined content over the years of Poser versions.

A Mac version is coming soon including updates with Metal GPU support and M1/M2 support via Rosetta.

The new online help system works in your browser with translation bookmarks.

Hardware requirements:

– An OpenGL compatible graphics card or chipset is required for hardware-accelerated viewing.
