GNI Calls For Unity Of Purpose, Harmony As Amosun’s Loyalists Return To APC

In a bid to foster unity of purpose and cooperation within the All Progressives Congress (APC), the member representing Yewa North/Imeko Afon Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Gboyega Isiaka has called on loyalists of former Ogun state Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun to align themselves with the current leadership of the party under Prince Dapo Abiodun.

Isiaka, a top Chieftain of the APC stressed the need for internal harmony, saying this was necessary to strengthen the party and maximize its chances of success in future elections.

He said this at the sidelines of the unification meeting held in Imeko LG where the former Governor’s loyalists were formally welcomed back to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) after a stint in the African Democratic Congress (ADC)

Isiaka however urged the group to engage in discussions and planning for the politics of 2027 with caution. He noted that it was not their place to make decisions about the future and that it was solely God’s prerogative to determine the outcome.

The Chairman, House Committee on Polytechnics and Higher Technical Education reiterated that attempting to manipulate or exert control over the future was futile, as God holds the ultimate power in shaping political outcomes.

He warned the group against trying to hijack this power and emphasized that it was vital to trust in God’s guidance.

He said “I welcome you all back to the Progressive fold, but I must remind you that your only true allegiance is to Governor Dapo Abiodun, the undisputed leader of our party. This is not just a statement, but a rallying cry for unity, progress, and a stronger APC.”

“We are one big family and all hands are needed on the deck to sustain the good fortunes of this party. Let God decide what happens in 2027. It is normal for us as politicians to engage in conversations and engagements towards the politics of 2027, but I advise we do so with caution. We should not preempt God in these conversations.

“Our full gaze should be on our leader, Prince Dapo Abiodun. Let’s surrender the politics of 2027 to God’s will. I know noone can interfere with God’s plan.”

“I can assure you that you’re genuinely welcomed back to the APC. There won’t be any discrimination in our Party in Imeko Afon. We are all one now. It is important we stay united in order to achieve the desired goals of the party and to continue the progressive governance in our state.” he submitted.

The Party Chieftain expressed confidence that the returnees’ loyalty to Governor Abiodun will be ultimately rewarded, adding that the Governor will continue to work hard to transform Ogun state into a prosperous state where opportunities exist for all.

Responding, the leader of the Group, Dr. Dele Ogunsiji appreciated Isiaka for the warm welcome, while pledging thier unflinching loyalty to the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
