As people of Ogun State elect Chairmen and councillors across 20 local government area of the state, The Hon. Commissioner for Rural Development, Olufemi Ilori-Oduntan has said that, she is very sure of victory for ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Abeokuta South local government.
Ilori-Oduntan, who stated this while addressing the newsmen after voting around 11:35am at Adatan Ward 3, Abeokuta South local government area of the state, Emphasised that, APC is the choice of the people of the local government, and they ready to vote for it candidates, as she described the process as a peaceful one.
“Of course, APC is going to win this election because we did a campaign and I’m sure that their choice is going to be the candidate of our party. And i won’t doubt it because i know APC is going to win this election. As far as Abeokuta South is concerned, People want APC and they are ready to cast their vote for our party”
“So far so good, it is peaceful as people are here to cast their vote for the candidate of their choice. We represent peace in Abeokuta and everything is going well smoothly”.
Ilori-Oduntan, why reacting to the late arrival of electoral officers to the polling units, She said mobilization of election materials might be the reasons, as she called for patient among electorates, adding that, the ruling party has nothing to do with the process.
“Mobilization is not easy, so people should be patient as we are going there gradually and I’m very sure we would get there”, she said.
“There is no any hidden agenda on the late arrival of electoral officers to the polling Unit and i want to appeal to the electorates, that they can still come out and cast their votes because the list of all voters has been pasted”, she added.
