The Executive Chairperson of Moro Local Government Council, Hajia Mariam Abdulwasiu Omotayo has constituted recovery committee for local government properties at the council’s secretariat today.
The Chairperson alongside her Vice Alhaji Sulaiman AbdulRazaq Adaara presented the appointment letter to the committee members. During the presentation, the Chairperson emphasized that the primary objective of forming this committee is to recover properties belonging to the local government that are in the hands of individuals or group of people. She urged the committee members to work diligently to fulfill the mandate given to them and in the interest of the local government.
The committee is chaired by a seasoned administrator, a retired director of personnel management (DPM) and former commissioner at Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission, Alhaji Ishola AbdulRaheem Ajibade, with the local government’s head of works department, Abubakar Ndagi as Secretary.
Other members include Director of personnel management DPM, Mr. Arinde A. Olalekan, Waliyullahi Raji, Saheed Olalekan, Sulaimon Mohammed Jamiu A, Bello Ayoniyi Femi, Shafi Lekan Mumeen Baba-Eko, Hon. Jibril Akano, Mahammud Amudalat Toyin, and Sulu Agnes Eniola.
Following the receipt of their appointment letters, the Committee Chairman Alhaji Ishola AbdulRaheem Ajibade on behalf of the committee members expressed his gratitude to Hajia Mariam Abdulwasiu Omotayo for the opportunity given to them to serve in such highly sensitive and revered committee. He assured that a comprehensive report detailing the recovered properties would be submitted at the conclusion of their work without bias or favoritism toward any individual or group of people.
Hajya Mariam Abdulwasiu Omotayo has reaffirmed her commitment towards ensuring that the resources of the local government are used for the generality of the people of Moro and not for the privileged few.
