NPF: Two Ilorin Born Police Officers, Ishola Babaita, Salman Dogo Get Promotion

The two indigens of Ilorin, CP Ishola Tunde Babaita has been promoted to the Rank of Assistant Inspector General (AIG) and DCP Garuba Salman Dogo have been promoted to the Rank of Commissioner of Police (CP) of Nigeria Police Force.

You will recalled that, the Police Service Commission announced the promotion of AIGs, CPs and DCPs on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

Babaita till his promotion was the CP Director Staff College Jos and former commissioner of Police Gombe State Command.

Babaita was born in to the family of Alhaji Abubakar Ishola Babaita, Babaita Compound, Alore, in Ilorin West local government area of Kwara state.

CP Dogo is the son of the late Alhaji Salman Dogo of Onikanhun Compound, Pakata, in Ilorin West area of Kwara state. His father was a businessman, Aso-Oke magnate, transporter, and community leader who served as the founding Chairman of the Pakata Area Development Association(PADA). His father was also a politician and a member of the defunct Ilorin Talaka Parapo. He was the second Honourable Councillor produced by Pakata and a man whose death was precipitated as a result of an injury he sustained in an accident while returning his children to their schools in the present-day Kogi State.
