The former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Ex-vice President, Atiku Abubakar on Monday 10th of February, 2025 held a close door meeting at Obasanjo residence in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
Atiku, who was accompany by the former Sokoto state governor, Senator Aminu Tambuwal, former Cross River state governor, Liyel Imoke and Senator Abdullahi Ningi, arrived obasanjo’s residence at around 12noon.
When asked on the purpose of his visit, Atiku told newsmen that his meeting with his former boss is not related to the 2027 general elections and politics, but a courtesy visit.
“It is a courtesy visit. I’m not going to talk about 2027 or politics. I’m not here because of 2027,” the former Vice President declared.
Recall, Atiku also visited Obasanjo in the build up to the 2023 presidential election, which he eventually lost to incumbent President , Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
