Journalists and well-wishers at the weekend were took by awe with the musical performance of Ogun State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Samson Adeola Odedina.
Dr. Odedina had on Saturday hosted a crop of journalists in the state to a new year party.
The Owambe party held at his Kemta Housing residence, Abeokuta, had in attendance members of the pen profession from various media houses both within and outside Ogun state.
The Commissioner in his jovial and humorous style, joined the official musician, Gboyega Awarawa on the band stand to treat the audience to melodious music.
The highly elated Agric Commissioner turned musician was singing praise of his boss, Prince Dapo Abiodun to high heaven when he took the microphone, singing secular music especially from the hit song of Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi.
Odedina, on Sunday equally hosted members Okada riders from the ACOMORAN, ROMO, and AMORAN in Kemta Idi-Aba, Olokuta branch to a get-together party.
He said since 1982, he moved to the area, the Okada riders have been supportive for his business in the area.
When asked if he has political ambition for hosting members of his community every year, Odedina dismissed the insinuation, saying “I have no political future.”
He said his interest was to better the lots of downtrodden in his immediate community.
Speaking on behalf of the motorcycle unions at the get-together, the Public Relations Officer of Amalgamation of Commercial Motorcycle Riders, Owners and Repairers Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN), Ogun State chapter, Aremo Agunbiade commended Dr. Odedina for his humanitarian and philanthropical gesture towards the welfare of the Okada riders in Kemta axis.
Agunbiade implored the commissioner to intensify more efforts in ameliorating the suffering of the motorcycle union members in the state.
The ACOMORAN PRO noted that, majority of Okada riders in the state obtain their motorcycles through installment, urging the Agric Commissioner to empower the union members in Kemta axis with soft loan and easy-buy motorcycles to make life comfortable for them.
