In a bid to maintain peace and stability , the Arewa Community leadership in Abeokuta converged on Tuesday to sensitize its members against joining the proposed Hunger Protest in August 1.
The meeting, which was attended by critical stakeholders, including security agencies and community leaders, aimed to promote diplomacy as the best strategy for resolving grievances.
Area Commander of Abeokuta Metro ACP Haruna Adamu, alongside segment heads of Arewa Community CDCs, were in attendance to lend their support to the initiative.
He sensitize the general public on the importance of peace and need to stay away from the proposed Hunger Protest.
Hadi Sani, Senior Special Assistant on Inter Ethnic Affairs to the Governor, played a key role in organizing the event, which was designed to promote peaceful coexistence among community members.
Sarki Hausawa of Egba land Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Hassan reaffirm the commitment of all segments of leaders towards quality leadership of embracing peace and non intervention to the Protest.
In his address, Hadi Sani emphasized the importance of diplomacy in resolving conflicts, urging community members to shun violence and embrace dialogue.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for community leaders to discuss the policies of His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, aimed at ameliorating the hardship in the land.
Hadi said Governor Dapo Abiodun Abiodun’s administration has been working tirelessly to implement policies that will improve the lives of citizens.
“I want to urge us all to shun violence and embrace dialogue.
“Indeed His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun is determined towards implementing policies to ameliorate the hardship in the land.”
