Ogun: Civil Societies Organisations Elect Foremost Lawyer, Bankole As Chairman

 

 

ABEOKUTA– Civil Societies Organizations(CSOs) in Ogun state have elected foremost lawyer, Barr. Bankole Solomon as its state chairman.

At the election held in Abeokuta, on Saturday, Bankole was elected with other state exco which includes, Olajide Yaya Alani as the 1st Vice Chairman, just as Sunday Nwaobi was elected as 2nd vice Chairman.

Other members of the new executive include, Dolapo Jinad as the Secretary, Bayo Usman defeated Augustine Edun to emerged as the Assistant Secretary.

The Financial Secretary is Onokpe Bamidele, while Abimbola Salami defeated Jide Idowu to emerged as the organisation’s Public Relations Officer (PRO).

In his acceptance speech, the Chairman, Bankole Solomon lauded the process of the election, which according to him was fair, credible and free of any rancor.

He promised to be accountable and responsible, while holding the government accountable to the people.

He therefore urged members to support the new executives, promising that he will continue to seek advise from members to achieve greater heights for the organisation.

The chairman of the electoral committee, Gbenga Soloki in his remarks urged the new executives to raise the bar of the Civil society in the state.
