The House of Representatives member-elect for Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency, Engr. Tunji Akinosi has launched S.T.E.M Quiz Competition for Secondary School Students in Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency with a promise to give scholarships to the best students from next edition.
Akinosi equally gave Trophy rewards to the best three schools in the quiz.
Hon. Akinosi while admonishing the students through his representative, Mr. Akanni Dimeji Balogun reiterated his continuous commitment to such educational programmes and promised to add scholarships for a better future.
The competition tagged: ENGR. OLATUNJI AKIOSI S.T.E.M Quiz Competition featuring randomly both Public and Private Secondary Schools, 8 Secondary Schools were present out of the 10 invited.
The participating schools include: *Anssarudeen Comprehensive School, Ota, St. Michael High School, Ota, Iganmode College, Ota, Fountain Comprehensive School, Ota, Iju Ebiye High School, Iju, Anssarudeen High School, Lafenwa, L.G School, Ota, Welkin International College, Atan.
The Quiz Master, Engr. (Mrs) Edith Alagbe, applauded Engr. Tunji Akinosi, for promoting reading culture among the pupils, especially in subjects such as Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English.
She, therefore, announced Welkin International College, (Private) Atan as the winner of the competition with overall scores of 225 marks while Iju Ebiye High School (Public) Iju, scored 175 marks to emerge the 2nd and Fountain Comprehensive Secondary School, (Private) Ota scored 156 marks to emerge the 3rd.
