Ogun Deputy Governor Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele has expressed optimism that the Nigerian athletes at the ongoing 6th Islamic Solidarity Games holding in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will make the country proud.
Engr. Salako-Oyedele who happens to be part of the Nigerian Sports Commission’s delegation to the event, revealed this while speaking with Journalists, said she is confident that Team Nigeria would compete with passion, excellence and pride.

She added that the Solidarity Games offers another golden opportunity for Team Nigeria to showcase their talent, discipline and excellence at the international stage, while expressing her delight at witnessing Nigeria’s participation in the prestigious multi-nation sporting event, describing it as a proud moment for our athletes and the nation at large.
The Deputy Governor added that the invitation to attend the Games was a clear reflection of the growing recognition Ogun State had earned in the development of sports in Nigeria which could be attributed to the visionary leadership of the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
In her words, “the successful hosting of the National Sports Festival and other recent initiatives have positioned Ogun as a truly sports-loving and sports-driven State,” she said.
The 6th Islamic Solidarity Games brings together athletes from over 50 countries, celebrating unity and friendship through sports beyond religious and cultural boundaries.
