A group under the aegis of Young Mother’s Forum will hold a meeting on Saturday 8th of July, 2023 at the Lastport Community Centre between 3:30pm-7:30pm and invited both women.
This was known to newsmen through phone conversation with the Host, Councilor Yinka Adeniran.
The theme of the meeting is “Maintaining Healthy Family Relationships in Different Culture where Guest Speakers will focus on Appropriate Discipline for Children, Gender Based Violence, Work Life Balance, Safeguarding and many more.
Young Mother’s Forum is a new community based group in Portsmouth, United Kindom that aims to support young Mothers on their journey through motherhood.
The forum provides peer-peer support, networking opportunities and access to relevant informations. Although, the group is open for everyone but has a specific focus on women from ethnic minority backgrounds.
The primary objective of this group is to foster open discussions and thoughtful deliberations on Topics that are important to women from ethnic minority backgrounds. The group believes in creating an inclusive environment where it can address women shared experiences and concerns.
The Guest Lecturerd of the event are Gender Based Violence and Migrant Expert, Shamila Dhana and Children and Families’ Social Worker, Kenny Olanrewaju and the Moderator is Olufolake Ayeyemi.
